The construction of the hierarchical management and control system for safety production risks and the inspection and management system for hidden hazards is a fundamental work for production safety, and is also an effective measure to prevent various production safety accidents. Since the beginning of 2018, various workshops and departments have carried out the construction and operation of a “dual prevention system” under the leadership of the company's HSE department, fully implementing the main responsibility for enterprise safety, and further consolidating the foundation for the company's safety development.

On October 25, 2018, Mr. Kabang, President of Dubai Holding, and his party investigated the construction site of the Sinoway Ganyu Phase III project in Lianyungang. They also visited Sun Aihua, Party Secretary of Ganyu District, Tang Guangpu, Head of Ganyu District, and Mao Taile, Executive Deputy Head of Ganyu District. Chairman Liu Tao and Director Nedham accompanied them throughout the entire process.

On October 8, 2018, accompanied by Tamia Liu, Chairman, and Nedham, Executive Director of Sinoway Carbon (Shandong) Co., Ltd., Liu Shuguang, Secretary of Weifang Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, led a delegation from Weifang to EGA for investment promotion and met with Joseph, CEO of EGA.

On September 27th, 2018, a total of 64 elite employees of Sinoway Carbon (Shandong) Co., Ltd. organized the first batch of employee outward bound training in Binhai University Town, in order to strengthen the team culture construction of the company and enhance the cohesion of the enterprise.

On September 1st, in order to strengthen the team spirit of newly recruited college students, the company organized 15 college students to go to Weifang Bailang Oasis Wetland Park to carry out the one-day outward bound training.

On September 4, 2018, Weifang Binhai Senior High School held the 3th Sinoway Encouragement Fund Award Ceremony.

Floods are cruel, but Sinoway is full of love. Recently, affected by continuous rainstorm, many villages in Shouguang, located at the lower reaches of the Mihe River, were affected by flood disasters, with houses and fields flooded, and a large number of people trapped and without any place to settle down. After learning about the disaster situation, Sinoway paid high attention and urgently launched a rescue program on August 26th to deliver a large number of short-run supplies such as instant noodles, mineral water, bedding, etc. to the disaster area. Sinoway will continue to pay attention to the disaster relief situation and continue to deliver living materials to the disaster victims to help them overcome the difficult time.

On July 25, Lianyungang city held on-site observation meeting for key projects, focusing on reviewing the construction achievements of key projects in the city in 2018 Xiang Xuelong, Secretary of the CPC Lianyungang Municipal Committee, and Sun Aihua, Secretary of the CPC Ganyu District Committee, successively led a team to inspect and guide the Phase III project site. Sun Aihua had a cordial conversation with Nedham, Executive Director of Sinoway, and Li Zhongguang, President of Sinoway, and arranged the work to handle the difficulties encountered during construction.

On December 29, 2017, Sinoway Carbon (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. signed the EPC contract for Phase III project with Shenyang Aluminum and Magnesium Engineering and Research Institute (SAMI). Liu Tao, Chairman of Sinoway, Liu Jing, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shenyang Aluminum and Magnesium Engineering and Research Institute, and Ruan Zuozheng, General Manager, jointly attended the signing ceremony.

Sinoway signed the Phase III project investment agreement with Ganyu District Government, Lianyungang On November 7, 2017, Mao Taile, Executive Deputy Head of Ganyu District, Lianyungang, together with relevant leaders of the District Environmental Protection Bureau, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Development and Reform Commission, and Haitou Town, attended the signing ceremony. Chairman Liu Tao and Haitou Town’s Mayor Dong Shusheng jointly signed the investment agreement.

Sinoway signed a “strategic cooperation agreement for industry, university, and research” with Shaanxi University of Technology. Opening of Sinoway “industry-university-research” base On October 19, 2017, Feng Xiaoming, Vice President of Shaanxi University of Technology, together with Wan Lipeng, Director of the Domestic Cooperation Bureau, Li Wenhu, Director of the Materials Department, visited China Carbon Energy (Shandong) Co., Ltd., and had in-depth exchanges with Liu Tao, Chairman of Sinoway Carbon (Shandong) Co., Ltd., on school-enterprise cooperation. The two sides reached an agreement on talent cultivation, cutting-edge technology, information, and other aspects, signed a strategic cooperation agreement for industry, university, and research, initially reached a cooperation intention on the research project of refractory, and jointly unveiled the industry-university-research base of Sinoway - Shaanxi University of Technology. The completion of the Sinoway “industry-university-research” base marks the beginning of a rapid development in scientific and technological innovation for Sinoway.
