Students majoring in forestry walk into the Chinese carbon forest flying sowing and afforestation base
In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the comprehensive prevention and control of desertification and promote the "three North" and other key ecological project construction conference, we will actively explore the methods and technologies of desertification control, and strive to create a new situation of high-quality development of ecological construction. On March 8,2024, Jiang Xuewei, Secretary of the Party Committee of The School of Horticulture and Forestry of Tarim University, teachers Wang Liming, Tang Ruide, Feng Jianzhu, Chen Jiali, Yang Liyu and others led all the students of forestry major in 2020 to visit and practice in the Flying Broadcasting afforestation Base of Sinoway Forest Technology Co., Ltd.

During the internship, Jiang Xuewei explained to the students the business philosophy of Sinoway Forest Technology Co., Ltd. and the characteristics of high efficiency, low cost, and accurate operation area. At the same time, it could improve the vegetation coverage rate, and better realize the rapid cultivation of degraded woodland and grassland and desertification control.

Sinoway Forest Technology Co., Ltd.has set up a "tree species ball" processing zone in the flying sowing base. Most of the raw materials are local materials, desert tree species and grass species suitable for the climate conditions of southern Xinjiang are used, and "tree species ball" is made on site to ensure the germination rate and survival rate of seeds with infinite processing technology close to nature. Up to now, Sinoway Forest Technology Co., Ltd. has carried out a work of 150,000 mu of public welfare forest in Alar region. According to the climate characteristics of northern Xinjiang, it has carried out a work of 27,000 mu in Beitun and Burjin, and continuously studied and improved the characteristics of "tree species ball" flying sowing technology to adapt to climate diversity.
Through this visit and internship, students have a certain understanding of the successful experience and practices of flying afforestation, and have a preliminary grasp of the construction and management of flying afforestation project. After the visit, the students said that the aerial sowing afforestation technology to create miracles, the desert into an oasis.
The event also strengthened the exchange and cooperation between the School of Horticulture and Forestry of Tarim University and Sinoway Forest Technology Co., Ltd.Both sides expressed that they will continue to strengthen school-enterprise cooperation and jointly promote the training of forestry talents and the development of forestry undertakings.
