On the afternoon of June 20, 2019 (the day before the “beginning of summer” of Chinese 24 Solar Terms), there came a good news. Liu Weidi, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Weifang, and other three people came to our company in hot weather, and issued a certificate of “Honorary Citizen of Weifang” to Mr. Nedham, Executive Director.

The “Honorary Citizen of Weifang” is the highest honorary title awarded to people from other countries, overseas Chinese, and compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan who have made outstanding contributions to Weifang’s economic construction, social development, foreign exchange and cooperation, and enhanced the city’s international image and influence. After Tony, the company’s Business Director, Nedham was the second staff from other countries to receive the highest honor in Weifang.

Mr. Nedham, who is from Bahrain, has worked in internationally renowned companies such as Ernst & Young, Alba, and engaged in auditing and commercial work. He has successively served positions such as Department General Manager and Vice President of the company, with rich experience in international company management. As a rare international high-level management talent, he joined our company at the beginning of 2013, and has played an important role in improving the management level and expanding overseas business in the past six years. At the same time, he actively participated in the economic exchanges and cooperation exchanges between Weifang Municipal Government and the United Arab Emirates Government. He has successively participated in more than 10 exchanges and visits between governments, playing a bridge role for the economic cooperation between Weifang Municipal Government and the Middle East region and promoting the construction of the “Belt and Road”. In 2016, he was awarded the honorary title of “Ambassador of Friendship of Shandong Province”. Nedham also pays great attention to social welfare undertakings. According to his initiatives, our company established a “Sinoway Encouragement Fund”, signed the donation agreements of more than CNY 6 million with Weifang Binhai Senior High School, Shaanxi University of Technology, and Renmin University of China, and donated nearly CNY 700,000 to environmental sanitation workers in the Binhai Development Zone and the front line of the Shouguang flood disaster. He personally delivered disaster relief materials to the front line of the disaster area.
