Shaanxi University of Technology Visits Sinoway Carbon Co., Ltd. for Inspection and Exchange

To deepen school-enterprise cooperation and promote collaborative innovation in industry-university-research, on April 24, Li Xiaofeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Shaanxi University of Technology, led a delegation to Sinoway Carbon Co., Ltd. for an on-site inspection and technical exchange. The delegation conducted an in-depth survey of equipment operations on the production front lines and held discussions with the company on topics such as joint research and development platforms, talent cultivation, and the construction of industry-university-research bases, laying a solid foundation for future collaboration.

On-Site Inspection: Focusing on Technological Upgrades and Production Optimization

Accompanied by Meng Xun, Rotating General Manager of the company, Han Erdong, General Manager of the Shandong branch, and alumnus Liu Kangkai, among other corporate leaders, Secretary Li and the delegation toured the production workshop. They focused on understanding the operational efficiency of key equipment such as calcination furnaces and waste heat steam systems, as well as progress in intelligent upgrades. 

Ren Zhigui, Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering, and Hu Yiyuan, Dean of the School of Economics and Law, provided technical suggestions for process optimization and energy-saving measures based on their respective expertise, and explored pathways for upgrading production management systems with the company's technical team.

Symposium: Charting a New Vision for School-Enterprise Cooperation

During the symposium, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on the theme of "deep integration of industry-university-research." Secretary Li stated that Shaanxi University of Technology has always been industry-service-oriented, and this visit aimed to align the university's key disciplinary strengths with the company's technological needs to facilitate the practical application of research outcomes. Rotating General Manager Meng Xun expressed gratitude for the technical guidance from the university and emphasized that the company is in a critical phase of green transformation, requiring support from higher education institutions in low-carbon technology R&D, intelligent upgrades, and the cultivation of interdisciplinary talent.


The meeting identified several collaborative initiatives:

Joint Establishment of a Graduate Training Platform: Addressing Sinoway Carbon's technical needs in equipment efficiency improvement and operational monitoring through collaborative research projects.

Graduate Research Practice Base: Selecting real-world production issues as research topics for graduate students to achieve "real problems, real solutions."

Internship and Talent Pipeline: Establishing regular internship positions and exploring an "order-oriented" talent cultivation model to supply the company with technical and management professionals.

Looking Ahead: Building a Model for School-Enterprise Cooperation

Song Xiyang, a representative from the Shaanxi University of Technology Alumni Office, stated that they would actively leverage alumni resources to support the implementation of collaborative projects. Both parties agreed to form a dedicated working group to advance the details of cooperation.

This visit marks a new phase in the technical and talent collaboration between Shaanxi University of Technology and Sinoway Carbon. Moving forward, both sides will fully leverage the university's intellectual resources and the company's industrial advantages to explore mechanisms for collaborative innovation in industry-university-research, injecting new momentum into the green and high-quality development of the regional economy.
