In October 2023, in the College of Horticulture and Sinoway Forest of Tarim University in Xinjiang, the signing and award ceremony of the first "Sinoway Forest" inspirational Fund was held successfully. The donation agreement of the "China Carbon Forest" inspirational Fund was signed at the event site. The first donation period is five years and the donation amount is 1 million yuan. The ceremony awarded the first award and scholarship of 200,000 yuan, rewarding a total of 49 excellent teachers and students and supporting poor students.

Tarim University, founded in October 1958, is one of the first undergraduate institutions authorized by the Academic Degrees Committee of The State Council to confer bachelor's degrees, master's degrees in 2003, and Doctor's degrees in 2018. It is a comprehensive university with the advantages of agriculture, the characteristics of life science, and the coordinated development of multiple disciplines. At present, the university has 1,493 staff and 28,000 students, with 16 colleges and 85 undergraduate programs.

The university has 6 national first-class undergraduate specialty construction points, 21 provincial first-class undergraduate specialty construction points, 4 autonomous region key disciplines, 1 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points, 23 master degree authorization points. At present, there is 1 national engineering Laboratory (National and Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Efficient and High-quality Cultivation and deep Processing Technology of Characteristic fruit trees in Southern Xinjiang), 1 Provincial Key Laboratory cultivation base (Provincial Key Laboratory Cultivation Base for Protection and Utilization of Biological resources in Tarim Basin), One key laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (the Key Laboratory of Forestry, livestock and Grass Resources Utilization of the Ministry of Rural Agriculture) and one key laboratory of the Ministry of Education (the Key Laboratory of Tarim Oasis Agriculture) highlight the research characteristics of biodiversity and cultural diversity in the Taklimakan Desert.

Sinoway Forest has conducted in-depth cooperation and exchanges with the College of Horticulture and Forestry of Tarim University. Relying on the valuable experience of Tarim University in conducting biodiversity research in the Taklimakan Desert for more than 60 years, the "Tree Ball" technology research and development Center will be jointly established. To carry out scientific research on the production technology, seed screening, germination rate detection and airseeding technology of "tree seed ball", so that the airseeding afforestation technology has been continuously optimized and improved.

At present, Sinoway Forest recruited 3 outstanding senior students from the College of Horticulture and Forestry of Tarim University, who have started their internship work in the first Division seed ball processing base in Alar City, and completed the first stage of tree species and seed ball germination rate detection work in the school laboratory.
